Woody’ Engines is a spin off from Aero Electric, well known through out the Hobby for the replacement parts that are offered for most antique spark ignition model engines.

Woody Bartelt is the founder of both entities and along with several associates produces the many parts for Aero Electric and arranges the reproduction of the various engines offered on this site.

Woody has been an avid engine collector for over 45 years. He is presently the president of the Model Engine Collectors Association (MECA).

With a background in General Aviation and CEO of Bartelt Aviation it was easy to transition to model aviation and model engines work after retirement.

It has been Woody’s policy to offer only the finest of original and reproduction antique engines. The reproductions offered are for the most part very rare or hard-to-find examples. Like the parts that have been available through Aero Electric for more than 20 years; all the reproductions are faithful copies of the original specimen and machined so accurately that the parts will readily interchange with the original.
